The secretary of the Rochester Businessmen's Golf League uses a league admin program from golfsoftware.com, but wanted the flexibility of using his own Web site for sharing rosters, results, documents and collecting registration info using Web-based forms. He also wanted to give Golfers the option of paying by credit card through the Web site and PayPal Web Payments standard (the free one). And an advertising management system, too. This site was built quickly on a reasonable budget. Cost compromises include the use of a "stock" (no customization by me) Drupal theme called Acquia Marina and Ubercart, the free ecommerce solution for Drupal sites. It's a darned slick site that came together in a big hurry.
